Paramount Digital Entertainment confirmed production on a co-operative action-adventure title based in the modernized Star Trek universe as depicted in J.J. Abram’s 2009 film. Digital Extremes, the game’s developers, are working in tandem with Abram’s Bad Robot studio, and the game will be published in a joint license with CBS Consumer Products. Players take on the roles of Kirk and Spock, defending the galaxy from an alien race bent on conquering it. Star Trek is being written by Marianne Krawczyk (God of War), and will release on PC, PS3, and 360 in 2012. Find the full press release after the jump.
