In a tweet that was published earlier today, Casey Hudson, the executive producer behind the Mass Effect series, confirmed long-standing rumors that the upcoming Mass Effect 3 would have cooperative multiplayer missions. Hudson published the news after two magazines announced they would be unveiling information on the multiplayer modes for the final installment in the Mass Effect trilogy. No further details have been published at this time, but the December issue of OXM, which features “screenshots of the all-new mode, as well as in-depth info on how it will all work with Mass Effect 3’s beefy solo campaign.” This issue will hit retailer stands on October 18th.
Mass Effect 3 is slated for a worldwide release on March 6th, 2012.
