Namco Bandai recently announced that the original Soul Calibur is being ported onto iOS devices, arriving precisely on “soon”. The port has a sterling legacy to compete against, as the Dreamcast version (EG’s number 1 game on the system) is lauded as being as perfect an arcade experience one could have on console. We know nothing of how the game will function on the various iDevices, considering fight games in the past have implemented a wide array of input techniques on the platform. Expect more news on the port as the press for the latest game in the franchise: Soul Calibur V (now with 100% more Ezio Auditore) builds toward its January 31st release date.
