Robot Entertainment proudly announced Orcs Must Die! 2 on their official website earlier today. The sequel will follow the real-time action/tower defense formula of the original, while adding a new story campaign and upgrade system. A Sorceress companion, a former War Mage, will play heavily into the events that pit you against hordes of new enemies. A host of new defense options and weaponry have also been promised.
No release date nor launch platforms have been announced yet for Orcs Must Die! 2, but owners of the first game will be able to unlock certain special exclusives in the sequel. The presence of the Sorceress seems to hint at some form of co-operative play, but Robot Entertainment has yet to officially announce anything in that regard.
