Speaking to Engadget, Battlelog Assistant Producer Jesper Nielsen has said Battlefield 4‘s Battlescreen will not work on the PS3 or Xbox 360 versions of the game. Battlescreen is a feature on Battlefield 4‘s Battlelog which shows a live map of the players current game on a tablet, smartphone or PC, but only for those who play on Xbox One, PlayStation 4 or PC.
“Battlelog is powered by the web, and that has a lot of implications. There are a lot of different things you can do, things you can do faster, rather than building stuff in native code,” Nielsen told Engadget, in part.
When released, Battlelog for Battlefield 4 will also feature regional leaderboards and the ability to change loadouts before starting the game or during respawn wait times. It will also allow players to change servers during a game.
