Ubisoft has confirmed in its third quarter earnings announcement that Watch Dogs is set to release in the first quarter of 2014.
“Fiscal 2014-15 will see an exceptional games line-up, with the release of five major titles including Just Dance, The Crew and Watch Dogs, which is scheduled for release in the first fiscal quarter,” said Ubisoft CEO Yves Guillemot. The company also confirmed that the Wii U version of the game will release later than the other versions of the game.
“We made the difficult decision to further delay the release of Watch Dogs on Wii U to focus the team’s resources where they could have the broadest possible benefit for both our customers and Ubisoft,” Guillemot explained.
