Ubisoft has announced that Far Cry 4 will receive the Escape from Durgesh Prison DLC in January.
In the DLC, players will face a series of time-based challenges as well as permadeath. “After Ajay and Hurk wake up in Yuma’s prison, stripped of all their weapons, they will need to complete challenges to find new weapons and unlock skills,” Ubisoft wrote on the Ubiblog, in part. “Take your time to plan and be careful, but not too much time because the clock is still ticking and you need to reach the extraction point.”
“Escape from Durgesh Prison can be played in both single-player and co-op mode. Should you die, you will have to start the mission over again, but this time you’ll have all the knowledge and skills you gained in your previous attempts. This DLC will have you racing across Kyrat to complete side objectives to recover all your lost weapons and upgrade your gear before one last assault on Yuma’s forces.”
Escape from Durgesh Prison will be available from January 13th, 2015 and is included in the Far Cry 4 season pass for free, but can also be purchased separately for $9.99.
