While we here at Elder-Geek have been reporting on speculative lay-offs coming from the development team of Lucasart’s The Force Unleashed II (and at least one canceled iteration of The Force Unleashed III). Going unconfirmed for several weeks, Lucasarts finally confirmed the downsizing to Gamasutra in an official statement.
In Take-Two’s profit earnings report for Q3, the $12.4 million profit listed was largely attributed to the continued success of Rockstar San Diego’s Red Dead Redemption. The Wild West title has shipped 6.9 million units ($354.1 million gross) since launch, defying many initial analyst estimates.
