Game Director Ashraf Ismail balks at a direct confirmation, his less than subtle phrasing leads to a strong possibility of a shared universe
Vickers Venture Partners recently revealed a $3 million investment in American McGee’s China-based studio Spicy Horse, the casual games maker teaming with the Shanghai office of PopCap for the first title within the new deal. The upcoming game is expected to be 3D online title, although little else is known at this time.
Like Final Fantasy XIII before it, FF Versus XIII appears to have stepped away from its previous console exclusivity. The Entertainment Software Ratings Board lists the title scheduled for both Playstation 3 and Xbox 360 (above), contrary to years of statements claiming the title will remain specific to Sony’s console.
