2K Games and Gearbox Software confirmed the existence of Borderlands 2 earlier today, as forecast by Eurogamer less than 24 hours prior to the announcement. The only release date given for the game is sometime within 2K’s 2013 fiscal year, which begins April 1st, 2012. New environments, characters, skills, weapons (obviously) and badassery can be expected. The official debut of the game will take place at this year’s Gamescom in Cologne, Germany.
Gonna go see this at PAX Prime as well. The line is going to be insane, but I may just have to endure it to see what they are announcing.
