Confirming a rumor we reported on three weeks ago, THQ announced the sequel to the under-ground post-apocalyptic shooter Metro 2033 as having the title Metro: Last Light. Revealed via an investor conference call from company CEO Brian Farrell, no other information about the product has been announced at this time.

The family division of the developer-publisher has be the company leg most devoted to the tie-in games, most notably ones based on Pixar movie franchises, but a recent “slowdown” of licensed properties has THQ corporate re-assessing its priorities.
