Monday Night Combat, the surprisingly enjoyable, Xbox Live Arcade, arena-based, third person shooter hit by UberEnt on will be coming to the PC via Steam. The PC version will feature editor system along with some unannounced exclusive content in January 2011. The Steam version of Monday Night Combat will also include the recently released Spunky Cola DLC.

Preordering now will grant gamers access to the beta that comes out tomorrow along with a 10% discount. Fans of Team Fortress 2 and the horde mode of Gears of War 2 should look forward to this little nugget.

Like Tomonobu Itagaki’s Valhalla Games before him, ex-Capcom leader Keiji Inafune is supposedly already networking for his new, currently independent company. A Japanese securities analyst posted a Twitter message about a recent meeting with Inafune in which information was exchanged, the Mega Man creator handing him a card with the heading title “Comcept.” Inafune has yet to release any confirmation to this effect.

Establishing an 18+ rating has been a major issue for Australian gamers, but it looks like they will have to wait a little longer for the Court to rule on that possibility. The Standing Committee of Attorneys General arrived at the decision to postpone the hearing on the subject, with no alternate date given at this time. Currently, any game given a higher rating than MA15+ is restricted in a majority of the retail markets in the country.

During a speech at the UBS 38th Annual Media and Communications Conference, Electronic Arts CFO Eric Brown laid out the publisher’s hopes for their upcoming Bioware-developed MMO The Old Republic. In addition to discussing digital revenues from the IP, Brown talked about how long the company expects to net profit from the “Star Wars”-based online title.
