A set of screenshots and concept art for the upcoming third installment in the Resistance series have been leaked by means of a now-disabled Flickr account. Resistance 3 was officially revealed at GamesCom last month, after speculations regarding its existence had been floating around the internet ever since a billboard advertising the game was photographed at a movie set in 2009.

The screenshots and concept art show several locations of the game, including New York, and contain several in-game pictures of humans and the alien Chimera. With the protagonist of the original Resistance and its sequel having met an unfortunate end, it is unclear whether the character who is shown repeatedly on these images will become the new protagonist to combat the Chimera.

The game is currently in development at Insomniac Games, and is expected to be released exclusively for the Playstation 3 somewhere in 2011. The set of screenshots can be found after the jump. (more…)

Ubisoft and Aardman aren’t exactly strangers either, the animation studio working on the website and some animated shorts for the recently announced Raving Rabbids Travel in Time.
