Southpeak Interactive’s Two Worlds II has been moved from its intended release next month until January of next year, making it the latest in a long line of fall releases bailing out of 2010. The official reason for the delay at the time of announcement was additional “heavy quality assurance” time, but since the initial push back, the managing director of the game’s co-developer, Topware Interactive, has come forth with a slightly different reason.
While Nintendo spent more than a little time on the hardware features of its upcoming 3DS, one of the highlights of its recent press conference was its overview montage of a selection of titles coming out for the system. While only a handful of games were shown, we here at Elder-Geek have the full list of games fully confirmed as in-production for the 3DS. Follow the jump for the list, sorted by publisher.
Currently, all songs on Harmonix’s Rock Band Network and Music Store range from free to the most frequent cost of $1.99. But with the addition of Pro mode in Rock Band 3, which attaches a multitude of complexities to each instrument track in order to get as close as possible to having the player actually use real instrument skills, Harmonix devs are saying that songs will become more expensive.
The Game Developer’s Conference has officially opened up its line for submissions for its 2011 show, and is accepting entries up until October 14th. Applicants are free to submit entries to any of the conference’s many summits, a lineup which has been expanded to now include the GDC Smartphone Summit, which focuses on hard and software for various mobile OS. The 25th professionals-only conference will take place from February 28th to March 4th at San Francisco’s Moscone Convention Center.
